Full time Certified Athletic Trainer

Empowering Athletes LLC is a well established private practice located in Pembroke, Massachusetts. Empowering Athletes LLC works with athletes of all ages and levels, from youths to adults.  Empowering Athletes LLC is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Athletic Trainer to work and help to grow a thriving private practice.  This position is for a full time Certified/Licensed Athletic Trainer to work in the clinic, help with workshops and to do some outreach. It is ~40 per week, salary based on qualifications and experience.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide athletic training services in the clinic including: clinical diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries
  • Instruct and/or assist in teaching strength and conditioning classes
  • Maintain appropriate general treatment orders to be reviewed bi-annually and approved by the Overseeing Doctor.
  • Communicate with family physicians and specialists, coaches, instructors, athletes and their parents
  • Maintain accurate records of injuries and treatments
  • Create content and opportunities for clientele
  • Plan, advertise and run events, classes and workshops to help build the brand
  • Assist with marketing and sales
  • Take charge of and enhance our Social Media Accounts
  • Assist the owner as needed

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training; Master’s in related field preferred
  • Possess a current national certification from the BOC
  • CPR/AED Certified
  • Eligible for Massachusetts State licensure through the Board of Allied Health Professional
  • 1-5 years of experience
  • Strong manual and rehabilitation skills preferred
  • NSCA or CSCS credential preferred or willingness to earn this certification
  • Knowledge of pediatric injury and treatment protocols preferred
  • Bonus if any experience with performing arts
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
  • Strong social media skills
  • Willingness to work as a team
  • Willingness to work at least one day on the weekend

Rolling Application Deadlines

Requirements

  • Must be receiving academic credit and approved by a school advisor prior to applying.
  • Must have completed sophomore year of college prior to beginning internship.
  • Working towards a degree in exercise science, athletic training, or a sport science-related program.
  • Internship shifts are a minimum of four hours at a time; interns are required to meet a minimum of 10 hours/week.
  • For fall and spring semester internships, students must be available between the hours of 1pm-8pm (M-F) and on Saturdays.

Strength and Conditioning Coach/Certified Personal Trainer (Part-Time)- Massachusetts

Empowering Athletes LLC works with athletes of all ages and levels from pediatrics to adults.  Empowering Athletes LLC is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Strength and Conditioning Coach/Certified Personal Trainer to work in a growing private practice.  This position is for a part time Strength and Conditioning Coach/Certified Personal Trainer to work in a clinic, teach classes, and help with workshops. This is a Part time ~10- 25 hours per  week. Possibility of growing into more hours. Salary based on qualification and experiences.   

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide Strength and Conditioning /Certified Personal Training services in clinic
  • Instructor and/or assist in teaching strength and conditioning classes
  • Communicate with family physicians and specialists, coaches/Instructors, athletes and their parents as needed
  • Help keep clinic clean, organized after sessions
  • Administrative task as need to run classes and sessions
  • Maintain accurate records of injuries, treatments as advice by facility 
  • Assist the owner as requested
  • Assist in events outside of the Empowering Athletes responsibilities as needed and able to

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field preferred
  • CPR/AED Certified
  • 1-5 years experiences 
  • NSCA or CSCS credential preferred
  • Ability to pass a cori check 
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
  • Availability morning
