Things to Know Before Your Visit

What is an athletic trainer?

Athletic trainers (ATs) are healthcare professionals who specialize in prevention, care, diagnosis, rehabilitation and education of sports medical conditions. Recently ATs entry level education requirements have shifted from a Bachelors degree to a Masters degree. ATs education highly emphasizes anatomy, and biomechanics in addition to how to identify, treat, care and return injuries to activity. ATs work with physicians and other healthcare professionals to treat the whole patient and return to the activities they love!
